This 6-year-old brown and black tabby is a shy, gentle cat who prefers to quietly observe the world around her before deciding where she fits in. Once she trusts you, though, she enjoys attention and shows the sweet, affectionate side beneath her cautious exterior.
Sophie does best with calm surroundings, a predictable routine, and people willing to let her settle in at her own pace. She has also been showing more of her playful side lately and enjoys batting at a wand toy.
She gets along with other cats and is especially bonded with her friend Tacoma, who helps bring out the best in her. Her experience with dogs and children is unknown. Sophie would be a particularly good match for a patient household looking for a quiet companion rather than a cat who immediately takes over the room. Give her the time to feel safe, and she may reward you with the kind of trust that makes the relationship all the more special.
