Auction Napa Valley 2026 Raises $6 Million for Youth Wellness

Annual event combines wine, community, and philanthropy to support Napa Valley's youth

The 46th annual Auction Napa Valley concluded on June 6, 2026, raising an impressive $6 million to support youth wellness initiatives throughout Napa Valley.

Hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners, this three-day event attracted over 2,000 attendees from 29 states, all eager to participate in the festivities and contribute to a meaningful cause.

The weekend commenced with intimate vintner-hosted dinners, offering guests exclusive experiences at various wineries.

On Friday, the Napa Valley Barrel Auction took place at the newly renovated Robert Mondavi Winery, featuring over 100 lots from the 2024 vintage.

Attendees had the opportunity to sample and bid on exceptional wines while enjoying culinary delights from local restaurants.

The top lots of the day came from esteemed wineries such as Chappellet Winery, Cardinale Winery, and Joseph Phelps Vineyards.

Saturday's live auction at Inglenook Winery was a highlight, beginning with a tribute to Robin Lail, a vintner whose family has deep roots in the estate.

She was honored with a lifetime achievement award for her leadership and dedication to the auction since its inception.

The live auction featured 16 exclusive lots, including luxurious travel experiences and rare wine collections.

Notably, a lot offering a five-day excursion to Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica, combined with a private dinner with the Khaledi family of Darioush Winery, sold for $130,000.

Another standout was the "Turn up the Volume" lot by John Anthony Vineyards and BottleRock Napa Valley, which fetched $300,000.

This package included ultra-rare platinum tickets to BottleRock 2027, luxury accommodations, and exclusive backstage access.

The evening concluded with the traditional Fund-a-Need, where attendees raised their paddles to contribute directly to youth wellness programs.

In a spontaneous twist, auctioneer Tom Best offered a final magnum of wine to the last paddle raised, resulting in an additional $1 million in donations.

The funds raised during the auction will be directed towards the Napa Valley Vintners Youth Wellness Initiative.

This program focuses on supporting school and community wellness centers, after-school and summer programs, and parent education throughout Napa County.

In the previous school year alone, more than 8,000 local youth benefited from these initiatives.

Reflecting on the event's success, Claire Stull, chair of the Napa Valley Vintners grants review committee, stated, "At the heart of our Youth Wellness Initiative is the belief that every young person deserves to thrive. We're grateful to support programs that are there for kids during critical points in their development and when they need it most."

The overwhelming support and generosity displayed at Auction Napa Valley 2026 underscore the community's commitment to nurturing the well-being of its youth, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
