Michael Leonardi Foundation hosts its next Music + Awareness Concert on August 29 |
The Michael Leonardi Foundation is bringing music and a serious message to downtown Napa on Saturday, August 29, with its next Music + Awareness Concert at The Barn Napa Valley (Car Club), running 4 to 7 p.m.
The afternoon features live sets from Dirty Cello, Cherry Blonde, and more performers, alongside guest speakers, community resources, a silent auction, and food and beverages available for purchase.
Entrance is by $30 donation per person, with tickets available through Eventbrite. The event is made possible with support from sponsors Tugboat and Cana Ranch, along with community partners Napa County, the Napa Health and Human Services Agency, and the Matthew Perry Foundation.
The foundation behind the event was born out of loss. Mark and Mona Leonardi started it after their son Michael died of fentanyl poisoning in 2020, turning their grief into a mission to keep other families from facing the same tragedy. Since then, the foundation has worked with schools, community organizations, and local health agencies to spread awareness about illicit fentanyl and distribute free naloxone and fentanyl test strips throughout Napa County.
Proceeds from Saturday's event support that ongoing work, which is funded in part by the Napa County Health and Human Services Agency through Opioid Settlement Funds.

Does anyone know if there will be parking available at The Barn? Planning to come but unsure about transport options.
Maya R.I visited The Barn recently and saw some street parking nearby. It fills up fast though, so maybe carpool or ride-share if you can.
$30 seems a bit steep for a community event. I hope they consider lowering the price so more people can join and learn about this important cause.
