The One Mind Music Festival returns to Rutherford on Saturday, September 19, marking its 32nd year of combining live music, fine wine, and mental health advocacy at Staglin Family Vineyard.

This year's headliner is The Fray, marking the 20th anniversary of their breakout single "How to Save a Life." The band also plays "Over My Head (Cable Car)" and "You Found Me," rounding out a set that spans their biggest hits.

Music isn't the only draw. The day opens with a Science & Innovation Symposium, featuring keynote talks from Dr. Ekaterina Malievskaia, co-founder of COMPASS Pathways, and Lars Wilde, co-founder and CEO of Pangea Bio. Presentations continue with the 2026 One Mind Rising Star Awardees, along with founders and CEOs from the One Mind Accelerator portfolio.

From there, the festival shifts into its wine and food program: a tasting reception presented by Alma Rosa Winery and Vineyards featuring more than 70 American vintners, paired with bites from EPIC STEAK and Waterbar of San Francisco. The day wraps with a four-course dinner under the stars, prepared by Michelin-starred Chef PJ Calapa of Marea in New York City and paired with Staglin Family Vineyard's own wines.

The festival benefits One Mind, a nonprofit focused on mental health research and outcomes. Last year's event raised more than $4.1 million for the cause, with past performers including Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Hudson, OneRepublic, and Train.

"The One Mind Music Festival is a rare and memorable day where mental health and music harmonize," said Dr. Kathy Pike, CEO of One Mind.

Tickets range from $2,500 to $7,500, reflecting the festival's role as a major fundraiser. They're available at  music-festival.org.

Science and music in one day? Sounds like a perfect excuse to spoil myself while doing good.

Rachel F.Totally agree, Rachel. It’s not often you get to enjoy both inspiring talks and great tunes in one spot.

I remember seeing Sheryl Crow there a few years ago, awesome show. Too bad the ticket prices keep rising.

It's great to see mental health getting this kind of attention and funding. More events like this please!

Nancy P.Absolutely, Nancy. Mental health needs more spotlight and support. Hope this inspires other local events to step up too.

The wine and food lineup alone sounds worth the price. That four-course dinner under the stars must be something else.

I wonder how much of the ticket sales actually go directly to the nonprofit. Sounds expensive for sure.

The Fray bringing back some early 2000s vibes sounds amazing. Wish I could make it to this one!

Lena M.Same here, Lena. The Fray’s hits were my soundtrack back in the day. Fingers crossed they come back around soon!
