Last week, we covered where to play pickleball for free. This week, we're going upscale — into the resorts and private clubs where a match comes with valet parking, professional coaching, and sometimes a glass of wine waiting courtside.
Carneros Resort & Spa
At 4048 Sonoma Highway in Napa, Carneros offers two premium outdoor courts with permanent nets and high-end surfaces. Play is free for overnight guests, paddles included. Not staying the night? Courts can be booked for $250 an hour, which comes with a food and beverage credit at the resort's FARM Pavilion or Market. Carneros also runs organized guest clinics on Wednesdays and Saturdays for anyone looking to sharpen their game.
Silverado Resort
Up at 1600 Atlas Peak Road, Silverado's courts are part of a broader racquet facility managed through the resort's Spa and Pro Shop. Access is restricted to club members and registered resort guests, but those who qualify get private professional coaching as part of the package.
Napa Valley Country Club
At 3385 Hagen Road, Napa Valley Country Club runs a members-only pickleball program with dedicated court reservations. It's the most exclusive option on this list, but for members, it's a built-in amenity alongside everything else the club offers.
Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection
In Calistoga, at 755 Silverado Trail, Solage brings its signature spa-and-wellness approach to the court. Two premium outdoor asphalt courts are reserved exclusively for overnight guests and luxury club members, making it a natural stop for anyone treating a pickleball weekend as a full getaway.
None of these are drop-in options, so a little planning goes a long way. Book ahead, know your access level, and you'll have some of the valley's most scenic courts mostly to yourself.

Napa Valley Country Club is way too exclusive for its own good. I tried to get info last year and barely got a call back.
Seems like you gotta book way ahead though. Not exactly spontaneous. Wish they had a few drop-in times.
If you like exclusive, country club is the way to go. My uncle’s a member and never has to wait for a court. Most relaxed games I’ve ever had.

Does anyone know if you have to be staying at Solage to use the courts or can you just get a spa pass? Trying to plan a birthday weekend for my sister.
The Market at Carneros is great for a post-game snack, can confirm! If you go, get the breakfast burrito.
Honestly, I prefer the free spots. These places look beautiful but pickleball shouldn’t be just for resort guests and club members.
I played at Solage last fall and the courts are pristine. Pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. Spa treatment after made it worth it!

I’ve tried the Solage courts once as a guest. Fancy towels, water with lemon, and not a crowd in sight. Spoiled me for public courts for a while!
