Have old paint, worn-out batteries or unwanted electronics taking up space?

Calistoga’s household hazardous-waste and electronics collection takes place Saturday, November 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Calistoga Fairgrounds, 1435 N. Oak Street.

This is a drop-off event, so residents will need to bring their materials to the fairgrounds.

Accepted items include household cleaners, pesticides, paint, automotive fluids, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, computers, monitors, printers and other listed electronics.

The hazardous-waste limit is 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle.

Free paper shredding is also available, with a limit of five banker boxes.

Business waste, explosives, ammunition and radioactive materials are not accepted at the residential collection.

Before making the trip, check Napa County’s event page for the full accepted-materials list and restrictions.
