Matthiasson Wines was founded in 2003 by Jill and Steve Matthiasson after years of work in sustainable agriculture and the local food movement. Today, Matthiasson Wines remains a family-owned winery guided by the vision of Jill and Steve alongside a small, dedicated team. We offer private tastings by appointment seven days a week, hosted outdoors overlooking our Phoenix Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Each experience is guided by a dedicated host and features a curated flight of five to six wines.

The Arrow&Branch name pays homage to the Contursi Family’s success in the rare coin business, U.S. coinage & Americana. Found on the reverse of most United States coinage is an eagle holding arrows & an olive branch in its talons. This design signifies the U.S. as a peace loving nation & country’s ability to defend itself if that peace & freedom should be compromised. Our commitment is to put only the finest quality wines into an A&B bottle regardless of time or costs. Many decisions are made in the vineyards that reduce yield yet increase quality of the grape. The goal is to extract as much of the individual terroir characteristics in order to give our winemaker a palate of unique components to draw from & produce wine with complexities.

Leveraging their combined reputation and decades of experience, they launched their first wine, the Oakville Crossing Cabernet. Critical validation followed with their flagship wine, the Oakville Crossing Reserve, and just 2 Barrels of Oakville Crossing Assemblage, both scored a remarkable 94 points from Decanter. This launch cemented Oakville Crossing as one of the most exciting and talked-about limited releases in the Napa Valley.
