Grab your swimsuit. The City of American Canyon's Annual Water Carnival is back at Phillip West Aquatic Center on Saturday, August 1, from 1 to 5 p.m.

This isn't a quiet afternoon at the pool. Expect games, music, and treats mixed in with open recreational swim. Giveaway prizes are on the table too, so bring the kids and stick around.

Admission runs $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents. You can register ahead of time at americancanyon.gov/recreation, or just show up with cash or a card.

The aquatic center sits at 100 Benton Way, right next to Community Park and American Canyon Middle School. Easy to find, easy to park, and close enough that half the neighborhood can walk over.

Mark the date, round up the family, and come make a splash. Summer's almost over — this is a good way to close it out.
